At Home in the World: Reflections on Belonging While Wandering the Globe by Tsh Oxenreider

⭐️⭐️⭐️

A super sparse book detailing a family with three young kids who sold their home in Oregon and traveled from Asia to Africa to Europe over 9 months in search of a place to live. It talks about their experiences, challenges, the people they meet along the way, and more. I was disappointed by the lack of life philosophy talked about in the book, and what was there was not profound (ie: wanderlust vs home, how you can be home anywhere with the right people, the ability for parents to travel with even with three young kids, etc.).

You should read this book if you like travel blogs/vlogs and feel that you are able to live vicariously and learn a bit about different countries by reading. Otherwise, I would not recommend.

Note: Read as audiobook. The book was sparse enough that I don’t think I lost anything in this medium.
