God, Human, Animal, Machine: Technology, Metaphor, and the Search for Meaning
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a great book on consciousness, AI, cosmic narratives, transhumanism, and more from an agnostic scholar with studies in Christian theology. Placing many of the modern metaphors, stories, and issues into historic religious contexts was very revealing. You certainly don’t have to be religious to get a lot from this book, the religious component is only there to highlight common themes, not to promote the religious beliefs themselves. I would highly recommend this book to anyone interested in theology, consciousness, philosophy, or AI.
Note: Read as an audiobook, I don’t believe any quality was lost in this format.
